This low smoke Sugi incense by Hattando is a minimalist and pure incense made out of Japanese cedar which grows in the Nikko region. Its singular ingredient is beautifully complex with woody, damp and earthy tones that slowly reveal themselves as you burn it. Specially formulated to reduce smoke.

HOW DO I BURN THIS INCENSE?
Japanese incense is burned vertically and in case you've purchased one of our discovery packs before, you'll already have the complementary mini incense burner in your home. If not, you can always use an empty container filled with uncooked rice. You can simply put the stick inside the rice and burn it, as long as the container is fire proof (ceramic, glass, metal). Other incense burners with 2-3mm hole diameter will also work perfectly.
