Ho Ryu Koh is a rich and luxurious scent that mixes premium Indonesian Aloeswood and Indian sandalwood in accordance with traditional recipes. The scent starts off with a bitter-sour, earthy note that is then joined by a sweet caramel accord. As the stick burns further, it begins to develop a cool note that further magnifies its camphorous undertones, leading to a unique and profound scent that begs to be explored and paid attention to.
This incense is part of the Jinkohya series, all of which are based on the original recipes of Jinkoya Sakubei and are then brought to life by Maisachiro Nakata, chairman and master blender at Baieido. The series was released in 2007, for the 350th anniversary of Baieido.

HOW DO I BURN THIS INCENSE?
Japanese incense is burned vertically and in case you've purchased one of our discovery packs before, you'll already have the complementary mini incense burner in your home. If not, you can always use an empty container filled with uncooked rice. You can simply put the stick inside the rice and burn it, as long as the container is fire proof (ceramic, glass, metal). Other incense burners with 2-3mm hole diameter will also work perfectly.
